3 Months Old.

Yesterday was Kaia's three month birthday. I can't believe that she has been living and breathing with us for a quarter of a year already. In just three weeks, it will have been a full year since she has been in our life and consciousness-starting out as a wee little embryo.
Kaia celebrated her 3 months on this earth by rolling back-to-belly for the first time. I am not sure if this is going to be a day-to-day thing quite yet, as yesterday's roll took quite a bit of effort and determination. That said, her obsession with rolling seems to be over now that she has accomplished the task.
Here are some facts from the last month:

-Kaia weighed 12lbs 13 oz at her 2.5 month well-baby visit, and measured 24 inches (90th percentile). We estimate her to be around 13 lbs 13 oz as of her 3 month birthday.
-She moved from swaddle to sleep sack at about 11 weeks old.
- Kaia is really beginning to pay attention to toys. She can bring her Lamaze clutch cube to her mouth when she has it at the perfect angle. She also likes to grab her winkel and shake it around. Her playmat is her favorite- she loves to grab her toys and try to pull them into her mouth.
-She still prefers to nap in her carseat.
-Kaia is just getting the hang of her bumbo seat this week, and really enjoys the vantage point it provides.
-She wears size 3-6 month clothes, and is rapidly outgrowing several of her onesies and cotton sleep n plays already in this size. She also is busting out of her size two Pampers, leading us to seriously consider moving toward the cloth diaper route.
-Kaia is 100% off the nipple shield and has turned into a fantastic little nurser.
-She generally only fusses when tired or sitting somewhere where she would not like to be. She is a very happy baby!
